What a chart shows
Three of the 20 months of a Fixed Payout chart for a ₹4,00,000 chit. A member pays ₹21,000 in month 1 and ₹700 less each month until they lift, then ₹24,800 a month. The recipient always gets ₹4,00,000.

In this chart the commission is whatever a month’s payments leave after the payout, so it is negative in the middle months. The organizer carries that gap until the later months make it up.
